Q: How much do you charge per square foot?

A: Price per square foot depends on several factors.  The major factors are home site, under roof and living area square footage, and finish out and amenities.  The more expensive the finish out and amenities the higher the price per square foot will be.  Before we can answer this question adequately we will need to schedule a free “Discovery” appointment to get to know more about you and what your needs might be.

Q: Can I choose my own finish out such as colors, trim, cabinetry, flooring, etc?

A: Certainly!  It is your home and we build it to your specifications and satisfaction.  Our professional interior designer will assist you in choosing your selections and amenities.

Q: How long does it take to build?

A: Depending on the size of your home, the build process usually takes approximately 6 months from the time the foundation is poured. 

Q:  Where do you build?

A:  We have many home sites available, or we can build on your own home site.  We can also help you find a home site that best meets your needs.  We typically build in Northeast Tarrant County and specialize in Colleyville, Southlake, Westlake, and Keller; however, we are not limited to these areas and can build anywhere.

Q: Do you work with realtors?

A:  Absolutely!  We do ask that your realtor be with you on your first visit to a Somerset Custom Home and fill out a registration form so we can include their information and commission on any paperwork.

Q: What if I don’t have a floor plan?

A:  We offer a wide variety of functional floor plans to fit your lifestyle.  You can choose a plan we have built previously and customize it to fit your needs, or you can work personally with an architect to design your very own plan.

Q:  We don’t know where to start.

A:  The first thing you should do is schedule a “Discovery” appointment with our owner, Toby Smith, where he can walk you through the building process and discuss your needs, wants, expectations, and answer any questions regarding home sites, floor plans, cost break-down, etc.  We would love to get to know you and discover how we can turn your dreams into reality!
